  • Yesterday I spent the morning doing a little research on creation / evolution. There are two camps on this subject; those who say God created the heavens and the earth in six days resting on the seventh and those who say there is no God, we just evolved. Sadly there are many who find themselves in the middle. Again we refer to Jesus when He said He would spew us out of us His mouth (reference to Israel being vomited out of the land in the Old Testament) for being lukewarm. Lukewarm means you were at one time hot. Being in the middle is dangerous ground. As you look at Genesis 1, sure there is lots we cannot explain but we live everyday like that. I don’t really know how a car works or how wireless Wi-Fi works but everyday I use it, but I believe it to be created by someone. They did not just evolve. Sure cars have evolved (progressed) but they did not just appear one day. Somebody got tired of walking or riding a horse (which did not turn into a car I might add) and made one. Now as far as Christians out there who refuse to believe, you have put yourself in the lukewarm category. Can you really call yourself a Christian is you do not believe God’s word? I read the other day that one of the greatest deceits from satan is the word millions when referring the earth. Like so many other subjects, we Christians better smarten up and start believing. Jesus said, “Watch out that no one deceives you.” Sadly, many Christians have fallen. We do not want Jesus to appear to us like in Mark 16:14. “Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.” We Christians better start taking hold of the bible and stop waffling / wavering in our belief. As we move along it will get tougher for us in North America. How can you stand for Jesus when the going gets tough if you are not standing when the going is easy? Will you stand on the word of God or will you turn from our saviour because the world does not agree with the bible? This Psalm asks the question; have all become corrupt?  Psalm 53:1 “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good. 2 God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. 3 Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. 4 Do all these evildoers know nothing?” What will God see we He looks at you? Are you seeking God with all your heart? Do you fear the creator of the universe (thus gaining knowledge), the one Matthew says to be afraid of? Matthew 10:28 “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life. Will you accept Jesus starting in Genesis 1?
