Tomorrow will be our second Sunday of our radical journey to the cross. Last week we asked God to make us uncomfortable. This week we will be looking at becoming unashamed for the gospel. The radical Christian is unashamed of the gospel and is prepared to get undignified while sharing it. Many Christians act like they serve a dead king not a risen Saviour. A couple of verses we will be looking at are Mark 8:38 “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels” and 2 Samuel 6:5 “David and the whole house of Israel were celebrating with all their might before the Lord, with songs and with harps, lyres, tambourines, sistrums and cymbals.” 2 Samuel 6:22 “I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes.” The question is simple. Are you ashamed of the gospel? Are you willing to break out of your shell in the power of the Holy Spirit and go forward even it means putting yourself out there? Luke 10:1 “After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” Will you become a radical follower of Jesus Christ?
