Over and over the church has been warned that there would be false teachers among us. We were warned, 1 Peter 5:8 “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” And this verse goes hand in hand with the roaring lion. 2 Peter 2:1 “there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.” The church did not stay alert and did not stand firm in the faith and was deceived and deluded into following a different jesus and other gospels / doctrines of demons. We were also warned about listening to the wrong people. Jeremiah 23:16 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord. In days to come you will understand it clearly. 21 I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied. 22 But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds.” Every group with their very distinct beliefs will say that is not me but them.
We were also told to be ready because the end is near. Matthew 24:42 “Keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” This is how satan works. He takes this verse and turns into a horror movie, A Thief in the Night, about the rapture that is never going to happen as they teach it. Instead of being ready, people have been taught to be rapture ready, but that is a doctrine of demons, so it is not going to happen and they have been deceived by false teachers. People have been taught there will be a devastating tribulation in the future, and they miss the fact they are already in tribulation and need to cry out to God because the church has been decimated already. Many have also been taught about a future kingdom where Jesus reigns, but Jesus already reigns but because the church has rebelled against our King, God has allowed the church to be decimated by the abomination that causes desolation, again something that is taught will be in the future but already here and most are oblivious to the mass destruction of the church. People have been taught they are eternally secure if you say a prayer or follow their way and truth and by adhering to their teaching you will have life eternal. But instead, the false teaching they have accepted as truth leads them to eternal damnation instead. 2 Peter 3:17 “Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position.”
These are just a few of the false teaching /other gospels / doctrines of demons that have left many in the church deceived and deluded and totally unprepared to meet the true Jesus. Many will find out when it is too late that the salvation they thought they were secure in, is not the same as the Good News Jesus taught. Jeremiah was told Jeremiah 5:1 “Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city. 2 Although they say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’ still they are swearing falsely.” 3 Lord, do not your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain; you crushed them, but they refused correction. They made their faces harder than stone and refused to repent.” Ezekiel 22:25 “There is a conspiracy of her princes within her like a roaring lion tearing its prey; they devour people, take treasures and precious things and make many widows within her. 26 Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them. 27 Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain. 28 Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says’—when the Lord has not spoken. 29 The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the foreigner, denying them justice. 30 “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. 31 So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
Amos talks about how the people did not respond to God when He struck their gardens, withheld the rain, sent plagues, overthrew some, Amos 4:11 “yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord. 12 “Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God.” 13 He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth— the Lord God Almighty is his name.” Most who call themselves the church are totally unprepared to meet God. You do not want to be an enemy of God. Nahum 1:2 “The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The Lord takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies.” So we need to be ready to meet our God. 2 Peter 3:8 “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. 11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.”
Yesterday was Good Friday on the Christian calendar. It is considered a good day because John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” Paul said 1 Corinthians 15:3 “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” It is not a good day because Jesus didn’t just die, He was murdered by those He came to save. John 1:9 “The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 3:19 “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.” Acts 2:22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.” Yes, the Romans get blamed but the Jews could have had Him released, so they are accountable for the murder of their Messiah. Instead the shouted crucify Him, crucify Him!
Our Lenten journey has been about waking to up because the time is now and understanding the desolation of the church and our need to repent, but like those who went before did not listen, the church also does not listen and refuses to turn form its wicked ways. The people said, Deuteronomy 5:27 “Go near and listen to all that the Lord our God says. Then tell us whatever the Lord our God tells you. We will listen and obey.” 28 The Lord heard you when you spoke to me, and the Lord said to me, “I have heard what this people said to you. Everything they said was good. 29 Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever! 32 So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. 33 Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.” They turned away very quickly. Jeremiah 42:3 “Pray that the Lord your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do.” 4 “I have heard you,” replied Jeremiah the prophet. “I will certainly pray to the Lord your God as you have requested; I will tell you everything the Lord says and will keep nothing back from you.” 5 Then they said to Jeremiah, “May the Lord be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act in accordance with everything the Lord your God sends you to tell us. 6 Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the Lord our God. 19 “Remnant of Judah, the Lord has told you, ‘Do not go to Egypt.’ Be sure of this: I warn you today 20 that you made a fatal mistake when you sent me to the Lord your God and said, ‘Pray to the Lord our God for us; tell us everything he says and we will do it.’ 21 I have told you today, but you still have not obeyed the Lord your God in all he sent me to tell you. 22 So now, be sure of this: You will die by the sword, famine and plague in the place where you want to go to settle.” They did not like the answer because they were already set on going to Egypt for fear of the king of Babylon and disobeyed. Jeremiah 43:1 “When Jeremiah had finished telling the people all the words of the Lord their God—everything the Lord had sent him to tell them— 2 Azariah son of Hoshaiah and Johanan son of Kareah and all the arrogant men said to Jeremiah, “You are lying! The Lord our God has not sent you to say, ‘You must not go to Egypt to settle there.’ 3 But Baruch son of Neriah is inciting you against us to hand us over to the Babylonians, so they may kill us or carry us into exile to Babylon.” John 10:24 “The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life.” John 19:14 “Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews. 15 But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” “Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered. 16 Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.” Matthew 27:25 “All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!” The Jews would murder their own Messiah and King instead of bowing before Him and obeying His words. As Peter said, “This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.”
The church would also follow in the footsteps of those before them even though Paul said, 1 Corinthians 10:6 “Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 11 These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. 12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!” Not only did Jesus warn the Jews about the destruction of the temple, He warned the church that it would also be destroyed just as the second temple was. Matthew 24:1 “Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” 3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.” Jesus then talks about where this destruction would come from, why it came and its severity. 9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. 15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel— 22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.” False teachers have been in the church since the early church and have only grown more numerous as time went by and as each schism took place. The Reformation carried on with just as many false teaching as the Catholics.
Daniel described the destruction of the church but he also told us of the hope just as when he prayed about the seventy years. Daniel 7:21 “As I watched, this horn was waging war against the holy people and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.” We will talk about the end coming to the abomination that causes desolation and the restoration of the church tomorrow. Daniel and Paul describe the abomination in the church. Daniel 9:27 “And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 “He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.” Paul also describes the magnitude of this decimation of the church. 9 “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” This is why Jesus said, “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive.” Deception and delusion have causes massive devastation to the church and millions have died following a different jesus and other gospels.
False teachers have been in the church ever since the time of Paul. He said 2 Corinthians 10:3 “I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.” Galatians 1:6 “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!” We were warned about these wolves that would be in the church. Jesus said Matthew 7:15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” Acts 20:25 “Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again. 26 Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of any of you. 27 For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. 28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. 29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30 Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. 31 So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.” What I find interesting is I keep seeing teachers who do not think of themselves as wolves warning their congregations about false teachers, but this is a ploy by satan to distract those listening from testing the words of those speaking the warning. 1 John 4:1 “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” Test everything you hear and everyone who teaches but make sure you are not getting your information from a false teacher. This takes discernment.
The church did not listen and almost immediately after Paul, rebelled and turned away, God turned His face from the church and ever since the church continues to be deceived by ferocious and savage wolves and satan continues to masquerade as an angel of light. The church to this day continues to be deceived and deluded from the small church in the country to the mega church in the city and all that are in between. Even though we have been talking about the deception of end times teaching, of which are doctrines of demons, there are many other doctrines and teaching that have infiltrated the church. This all happened just like Israel, Judah and the Jews; when told God’s word, they refused to listen and preferred the words of the false prophets. Jeremiah 18:1 “Now therefore say to the people of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, ‘This is what the Lord says: Look! I am preparing a disaster for you and devising a plan against you. So turn from your evil ways, each one of you, and reform your ways and your actions.’ 12 But they will reply, ‘It’s no use. We will continue with our own plans; we will all follow the stubbornness of our evil hearts.’” God’s people were warned, but they did not listen, and the disaster did come. Habakkuk 1:5 “Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told. 6 I am raising up the Babylonians, that ruthless and impetuous people, who sweep across the whole earth to seize dwellings not their own.” 2 Chronicles 36:15 “The Lord, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy. 17 He brought up against them the king of the Babylonians, who killed their young men with the sword in the sanctuary, and did not spare young men or young women, the elderly or the infirm. God gave them all into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar. 18 He carried to Babylon all the articles from the temple of God, both large and small, and the treasures of the Lord’s temple and the treasures of the king and his officials. 19 They set fire to God’s temple and broke down the wall of Jerusalem; they burned all the palaces and destroyed everything of value there. 20 He carried into exile to Babylon the remnant, who escaped from the sword, and they became servants to him and his successors until the kingdom of Persia came to power. 21 The land enjoyed its sabbath rests; all the time of its desolation it rested, until the seventy years were completed in fulfillment of the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah.”
There are no denominational barriers when it comes to false teaching as the influence of false teachers is widespread across the church. A different jesus and other gospels are being taught in charismatic churches and non-charismatic churches alike. From small to vast in numbers, the teaching of false teachers is like a global pandemic. This is not just happening in the United States. I lived in a small town in Ontario with about 24000 people. Within that town you had almost every kind of group that you would see in larger places and cults like the JWs. That meant you had every kind of false teaching that was around. Many will be shocked to find out that the God they worshipped was not God, but satan, Many are going to be shocked that the Jesus they worshipped was not Jesus but a different jesus and many will be shocked to find out that the spirit they thought they were filled with was not the Holy Spirit, but deceiving spirits. But it is too late once you die, or Jesus comes to take us into eternity to find out you had been deceived and deluded. satan is a master deceiver and takes truth and distorts it. There is a kingdom of God, Jesus will return, there is a temple which is the body of Christ and there is a tribulation. satan is the deceiver of the world and due to the rebellion of the church, God has allowed satan to decimate the church and today the church stands desolate. Jeremiah 9:12 “Who is wise enough to understand this? Who has been instructed by the Lord and can explain it? Why has the land been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross? 13 The Lord said, “It is because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed me or followed my law. 14 Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their ancestors taught them.” This is why we are not prepared to meet our God.
In today’s church, you really can’t say you have seen everything as you continue to see the craziest events take place and ludicrous teaching taught. It just continues to get worse. What is even more ludicrous is that people are actually part of these events and not even questioning or testing the spirits. 1 John 4:1 “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” Sometimes it is very easy to see a false teacher and the false gospels they teach and other times you really need discernment. Sometimes you just have to listen to or read one of the sermons or statements they make online or hear in person and you will know this is a false teacher. You can find out what false doctrines they believe just by looking at their end times beliefs and as we talked about yesterday, find out what they believe about healing (also what kind of evidence for it if they say they do believe) These can tell you very quickly that these are false teachers. I gave the example of John MacArthur and the doctrine of demons called cessationism. There is a video of him explaining this and much teaching on the subject, yet nowhere in the bible does it say that. This is a non-charismatic teacher, who speaks out against other teachers but at the same time is leading those who listen to him astray. We also talked about Keneth Copeland and MacArthur is just as bad as Copeland. He is the one who said at his command that Covid was over and then many died following that. MacArthur fought to keep His church open but to really be essential all the body had to do was go out preach the gospel, heal the sick of which there were many and cast out demons. You do not need a building for that. His influence even touched one of his graduates in Canada “The wife of the first pastor who was jailed in Canada for keeping his church open during the COVID-19 lockdowns wrote a statement honoring the legacy of the late John MacArthur and thanking him for supporting her and her husband during his imprisonment.” Many fought (and won) but the reality is the church open or closed was non-essential when it came to healing people. People just wanted to continue what they had done for years; sit and listen to someone speak but what the world needed was the power to heal that the church was supposed to have. We also saw this with Bethel Redding California who believe very strongly that the Holy Spirit is present, but they closed, and they became a superspreader.
This plague of false teachers and other gospels / doctrines of demons is far worse than Covid ever was, but like with Covid many just stick their head in the sand or follow each other off cliffs like lemmings. Many didn’t believe how deadly Covid was, and many died, got sick and some long term. Yes, Ostriches do not stick their head in the sand nor do lemmings commit mass suicides by following each other off cliffs, but the images are still good. Many are so deceived they don’t know they should be testing the spirits. Others see it in another group but not in themselves and some are told but refuse to listen. When I was looking into a few people, I came across Pastor Loran Livingston of Central Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. To be honest I am still not 100% sure what specific group they belong to. I first checked their website but there was just a little about their beliefs, but nothing concrete. I heard him preach a fiery sermon about false teachers and it was pretty good. But what I have learned is just as John MacArthur spoke against the charismatics, he was also a false teacher. So I looked some more and found four sessions on the end times and there it was, the false teaching of the rapture, tribulation and millennial kingdom and it was mind boggling. I consider myself a fairly intelligent person but wow I would be impressed if anyone after listening could spell it out like he did with the appearance of being very biblical. It is not biblical, but it sounds like it. So yes, this one required digging and transcripts on You Tube videos make it a lot easier as you do not have to listen to everything, you can read it quicker than listening. I can see why people were deceived because not too long ago we didn’t have all this information at our fingertips. But then I found this video and I will show you just how subtle deception is sometimes. First, he talks about how he wants you to be prepared to meet Jesus. “I got up this morning thinking I wonder how many people will slip out into eternity this morning this Sunday without Jesus Christ thousands upon thousands will leave this world unprepared to meet God every time I stand here, I recognize that I could be talking to someone for the last time you.” Yes, that is very sincere. He then talked about making sure people were ready and this is where the gospel message is changed, and very deceptively I might add and no I do not believe he is doing it intentionally as he believes it with all his heart. He was taught this and now teaches other to believe the same. The text he uses is 1 Timothy 4:1 “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.” They read verses 1-6. This is what he said. “Paul says to the young man Timothy that the Spirit is expressly saying that in the latter times or the last times some will depart from the faith he didn't say from faith he said the faith, the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, the gospel message that Jesus Christ is the Virgin born son of the only true and living God who was born into this world sinless and lived a sinless life and was crucified buried and rose again and ascended into heaven and right now sits at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for us who is coming back again one of these days first in the clouds to catch away the church and then we're all coming back to this earth for him to set up his kingdom that's the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ and he says that in the last days there are actually some people who will depart from that because they listen to deceiving spirits and they give heed to doctrines of devils, now understand me brother and sister there is a deceiving spirit in the world it's operating right now and it's powerful and what it's doing is perpetuating teaching doctrines of devils it looks like the doctrines of the faith but it's anything but that if it were doctrines of the faith men and women would not be deceived they would not be tricked into this so-called worldly mindset of Christ and in the faith he says that they will speak lies in hypocrisy because their own conscience is hardened as though it's been burned with a hot iron. I tell you brothers and sisters, God's men and women not only preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, they are required by God to warn people of false prophets and deceivers in the last days, no man or woman of God who was given oversight over a congregation dare bypass the warnings that are given to us in Scripture because those deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons are fully capable of grabbing a hold of the men and women that are not prepared through prayer and through a knowledge of the Holy Word of God, these prophets are evident there in operation right now in front of you, every day of your life you see them.”
Did you see the deception? When talking he said, the faith. But here is the deception. The faith he is talking about is not the gospel He said “the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ the gospel message that Jesus Christ is the Virgin born son of the only true and living God who was born into this world sinless and lived a sinless life and was crucified buried and rose again and ascended into heaven and right now sits at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for us who is coming back again one of these days first in the clouds to catch away the church and then we're all coming back to this earth for him to set up his kingdom that's the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Very subtle and easy to miss but it is right there. Add to that his teaching on end times and you don’t have the gospel but doctrines of demons standing right before you trying to point you away from doctrines of demons that are standing right before your eyes. Those who believe this will say amen, but this is not the gospel but other gospels. Now for those who do not believe their version of the end times, this is easy, but the reality is, they will also have fallen for other gospels. The Baptist think the Catholic is wrong and vice versa and so on and so on.
I said earlier about things being crazy. I had talked about the prayer in the oval office and the false teachers praying around Trump but then this week there was something far worse and really hard to stomach. This shows you just how much deception and delusion are in the church, so much so it has reached the highest levels. Again, I am thankful for transcripts because listening to Trump speak is almost unbearable. I don’t know how anyone who calls themselves a Christian could watch this and say glory be to God. You had pastors (false teachers) like Franklin Graham, Robert Jeffries and Paul White-Cain who stood united in the love of Trump, though not united in theology. This took place at the Whitehouse Easter Lunch. After watching this and you still think Trump and the Republican party are the savior to the world, you really need to spend more time with the words of the Savior Jesus Christ. Just to be clear the democrats have done a lot of damage also but there has never been anyone to hold the office of president like Trump. Also, being conservative is not Christianity. You also can’t say it is just those charismatics doing this. The amazing part of this is even false prophets are warning about false prophets. Again that is satan’s trick to deceive you into looking else ware and missing what is right in front of you.
Donald Trump spoke first. One writer said, “Once at the mic, he launched into nearly 45 minutes of rambling, self-focused commentary that had very little to do with Easter and everything to do with himself. He drifted between attacks on judges, racist rhetoric about immigrants, and bizarre tangents about seizing foreign oil and mocking allied world leaders, all while religious leaders stood beside him and said nothing.” They even laughed as he spoke. It appears it was so bad that the “video of the event was initially posted on the official White House website and YouTube channel, but it has since been removed from public view. A thumbnail of the video remained on the site as of Thursday.” Now remember this event is about Easter, thus it is supposed to be about Jesus, yet Trump did not get the memo and treated it like a fundraiser for himself. He knows he has to keep the gullible Christians, but you would think these so-called leaders would have said enough is enough. Hence the delusion and deception that runs deep in the church and into the highest levels of politics.
These are just a few quotes from Trump. Let me say again, this was an Easter luncheon, but he starts by talking about war and blowing things up and people (Christian leaders) applaud. He even said, “We blasted the hell out of them, out of Iran.” And again, people laughed. This quote actually makes me sick to my stomach. “So, anyway, so we've knocked them for a loop. I don't know if you saw the explosion the other day. We, we got the mother load. We had the mother load like nobody's ever seen. Did you see that? They thought it was a nuclear weapon. Actually, I said, "No, we don't use them. We don't want to use them. We have more than anybody else, but we don't want to use them." He continued and said, “But this afternoon, I'm delighted to join the countless Christians across the country and around the world as we prepare to celebrate a thing called Happy Easter.” A thing??? Then he tells Erica Kirk (she is a whole other issue), “They're so jealous of Erica. I said, you should sue. They're right. You can’t I can say it. You're not allowed to say this. You have to be nicer. Sue their ass off.” And then says, “But I want to thank all of those who are helping us honor Holy Week here.” He then complains about the Supreme court and judges. Disparages NATO and ridiculed allies, calls them stupid people. Goes off on birthright citizenship, goes off on Minnesota, “they come from all over. They're all crooked in Minnesota. The governor's crooked. The attorney general's a crook. He's a thief. Terrible guy. All stupid, crooked people. And they came in from, in this case, Somalia is just terrible.” Then after much bashing of many things, says “During each day of Holy Week, Christians remember the events of 2,000 years ago that forever changed the world. On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem as crowds welcomed him with praise, honoring him as king. They call me king now. Do you believe it? No king. I'm such a king. I can't get a ballroom approved. It's pretty amazing, right? I'm a king. If I was a king would be doing a lot more. I'm doing a lot but I could be doing a lot more if I was a king. Yet he had not come to take a throne but to carry a cross not only to reign but to save.” Then after talking about “In God we Trust,” he said “I've often said that to be a great nation, you have to have religion. I believe that so strongly. You have to have religion and you have to have God. That's why this Easter, we are bringing back religion to America.” After reading meaningless words about Easter, he moves on to other beefs. Then onto transgenders, then onto bragging. Religion is not Christianity, but Trump knows nothing of the true Jesus, just how to manipulate deceived and deluded Christians.
Then some of the leaders prayed for Trump. First of all being called to pray for leaders is different than equating them to Jesus. The false teacher Paula White Cain said this, “And Mr. President, no one has paid the price like you have paid the price. So true. It almost cost you your life. You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It's a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us. But it didn't end there for him and it didn't end there for you.” Another commentator said, “Whoa. She went there. Trump as Jesus in the public meeting in front of the world's television cameras, surrounded by people nodding and stroking their chins. Donald Trump, self-confessed sex offender, serial criminal, multiple felons, massive liar, destroyer of democracy, uh hater of truth, uh contemptor, I've just invented a word, but I like it, of decency. He is being compared to Jesus in the White House by the advisor to the White House faith office.”
Robert Jeffries then came up – “President." I said, ' Mr. Trump, I believe God has appointed you to be the next president of the United States. And if that happens, it's because he has a plan for you and for our country. He said, "Do you really believe that, Robert?" And I said, "Yes, sir, I do believe it." And God brought this to happen. I mean, who would have ever thought [applause] who would have ever thought that a billionaire real estate tycoon from New York City would usher in a spiritual revival in the United States. (He left out all of his nasty traits you just read above) Your word says you are the one who selects kings and removes kings. And in your plan, you have given us a great president, not just once but twice. Father, we every one of us in this room first of all want to pray for President Trump.”
The magnitude of the deception and delusion is beyond comprehension. This is why Daniel, Daniel 8:27 “was worn out. I lay exhausted for several days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.” This is why John was astonished by what he saw. Revelation 17:5 “The name written on her forehead was a mystery: babylon the great, the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth. 6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.” Jesus said this attack on the church would be so severe, Matthew 24:22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive.” At this point in the life of the church, there is only a remnant of survivors left who are scattered throughout the world and that is only because God promised David that there would always be a remnant.
The Jews murdered their own Messiah and King and shouted crucify Him, crucify Him. Matthew 27:25 “All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!” What you saw at the Easter lunch above were some of the churches leaders shouting crucify Him, crucify Him to their own demise and blackest darkness is reserved for them. We were warned Hebrews 10:26 “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” Hebrews 6:4 “It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.” What you witnessed at the Easter lunch was so-called Christian leaders leading those who follow them to shout crucify Him, crucify Him as they trampled the Son of God underfoot. False prophets everywhere are doing the same. Whenever you follow a different jesus and other gospels, you are trampling the Son of God underfoot. These are others like high profile Pete Hegseth who has no idea who Jesus is. You would think his pastor would admonish him for what he has been saying in Jesus’ name.
This is happening everywhere in the church and millions are dying without ever knowing the truth. False teachers stand behind pulpits and lead the church astray and the church is unprepared to meet their God. Many are so deceived and deluded they think that if they were to die today, they would hear, Matthew 25:21 “‘Well done, good and faithful servant!” but instead they will hear, Matthew 25:41 “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” But along the way someone taught them that God is love and would never do that but scripture states otherwise. Jesus said, Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. 15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” Jesus answered this question with words most do not want to hear. Luke 13:23 “Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” He said to them, 24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’ 26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ 27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’ 28 “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. 29 People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.” Most think they are ready because they have been so deceived and deluded, they can’t see the truth. Because they are so deceived and deluded, they are not prepared to meet their God. Not only are they not prepared, there is absolutely no fear in doing so, nor is there fear of ending up where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. As we read in Hebrews, “For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
As we saw in Daniel, this time of desolation is coming to an end. Daniel 7:21 “As I watched, this horn was waging war against the holy people and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom. 26 “‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. 27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’” Daniel 9:27 “And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” This time of desolation in the church caused by the abomination that causes desolation will come to an end, but will you be on the side of God or satan when God turns His face back to the church? Picture yourself in Nineveh. Jonah was told Jonah 3:2 “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.” 3 Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it. 4 Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” This Nineveh we are talking about is not a city in Israel or Judah and this is how they responded. 5 “The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth. 6 When Jonah’s warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. 7 This is the proclamation he issued in Nineveh: “By the decree of the king and his nobles: Do not let people or animals, herds or flocks, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink. 8 But let people and animals be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. 9 Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.” 10 When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.”
When the prophets spoke to God’s people, they said we will not listen. Jeremiah 18 :11 “Now therefore say to the people of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, ‘This is what the Lord says: Look! I am preparing a disaster for you and devising a plan against you. So turn from your evil ways, each one of you, and reform your ways and your actions.’ 12 But they will reply, ‘It’s no use. We will continue with our own plans; we will all follow the stubbornness of our evil hearts.’” Ezekiel 24:13 “‘Now your impurity is lewdness. Because I tried to cleanse you but you would not be cleansed from your impurity, you will not be clean again until my wrath against you has subsided. 14 “‘I the Lord have spoken. The time has come for me to act. I will not hold back; I will not have pity, nor will I relent. You will be judged according to your conduct and your actions, declares the Sovereign Lord.’” You do not want to be on the side of the false teachers because the jesus they teach about cannot give you eternal life.
These words of Jesus still apply. Mark 1:15 “Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” But will the church listen. When Ezekiel was sent to speak to those already in exile, God said to say Ezekiel 3:27 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’ Whoever will listen let them listen, and whoever will refuse let them refuse; for they are a rebellious people.” It is important to understand the false prophets were saying the same. Ezekiel 22:28 “Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says’—when the Lord has not spoken.” The people did not listen to God’s servants but preferred to listen to the false prophets and in the end even Judah was cast out from the Lord’s presence. 2 Chronicles 36:16 “But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy.” Can you imagine Jeremiah showing up in North Carolina, or California or any church for that matter and saying, “turn from your evil ways, each one of you, and reform your ways and your actions.” And Jonah saying, “forty more days and (fill in the blank) will be overthrown.” Would you repent and turn away or throw the prophet out?
Most people who call themselves Christians will respond I have found the way, truth and life so why would I repent, but they have no idea they have been deceived and deluded into believing another gospel. In their deception and delusion, they have no idea they are not following the words of truth. Unlike Nineveh and like Israel and Judah, they will say we will not listen because they think they have done what scripture said to do and imitated their leaders but their leaders are not who they think they are. There is hope because one of the worst kings in Judah, repented and turned from his wicked ways. 2 Kings 21:9 “Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites. 10 The Lord said through his servants the prophets: 11 “Manasseh king of Judah has committed these detestable sins. He has done more evil than the Amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols. 12 Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I am going to bring such disaster on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle.” Disaster did come to Judah even though Manasseh repented. 2 Chronicles 33:10 “The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they paid no attention. 11 So the Lord brought against them the army commanders of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh prisoner, put a hook in his nose, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon. 12 In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors. 13 And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.”
Our only hope is to turn from these wicked ways and the leaders who promote them and return to God’s word. Isaiah 59:20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins, declares the Lord.” Ezekiel 18:30 “Therefore, you Israelites / church, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. 31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel / church? 32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!” Lamentations 5:1 “Remember, Lord, what has happened to us; look, and see our disgrace. 15 Joy is gone from our hearts; our dancing has turned to mourning. 16 The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned! 17 Because of this our hearts are faint, because of these things our eyes grow dim 18 for Mount Zion, which lies desolate, with jackals prowling over it. 9 You, Lord, reign forever; your throne endures from generation to generation. 20 Why do you always forget us? Why do you forsake us so long? 21 Restore us to yourself, Lord, that we may return; renew our days as of old. 22 unless you have utterly rejected us and are angry with us beyond measure.”
The good news is God has not forsaken us. Ezra 9:8 “But now, for a brief moment, the Lord our God has been gracious in leaving us a remnant and giving us a firm place in his sanctuary, and so our God gives light to our eyes and a little relief in our bondage. 9 Though we are slaves, our God has not forsaken us in our bondage. He has shown us kindness in the sight of the kings of Persia: He has granted us new life to rebuild the house of our God and repair its ruins, and he has given us a wall of protection in Judah and Jerusalem.” Isaiah 54:5 “For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. 6 The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit— a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God. 7 “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. 8 In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord your Redeemer.”
The church was supposed to have power over our enemies but as scripture makes clear when God’s people rebel against Him, we lose that power. This is the power we were supposed to have but rebellion removed this power to bind and loose. Matthew 16:15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” When Jesus sent out His disciples he said, Matthew 10:1 “Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. 5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.” That was the power that the church would receive at Pentecost, but that power lasted just a short time because the church turned away from God’s word.
