Okay hate is a strong word. I dislike politics vehemently. There is no politeness in it. Wouldn’t it be nice if the candidates who claim to be God-fearing men could actually present themselves as God-fearing men? Is it possible for a man to stand for what they believe and then follow through if elected? I am so tired of the ripping and shredding of the opponent. In a day where bullying is front and centre, isn’t it odd that the people who represent and are trying to represent one of the powerful positions in the world are bullies At least they address one another as Mr! You would think that they could present their position on the strength of their platform but no they cannot seem to do that. Unfortunately they are playing to what so many people want to see happen; two grown men acting like children on the playground. We live in a culture that loves the “reality” TV shows and craves the enquirer for delicacies to feed on. People almost salivate at the downfall of a star or politician. There are just a few days left till the election and the pressure is on. Each team is pulling out the stops in order to get your vote. Maybe more people would vote if they knew they had people of integrity to vote for. Just saying! We have the same thing going on in the church. There are two sides at work satan and God. Please don’t jump to the conclusion that one of the candidates is God and one is satan. satan is working hard to get you on board with him. Revelations 12:12 says, “But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” satan knows where he is going and he wants to take you with him. It is the power of Jesus Christ verses the accuser of the brethren. Satan is going to trick you, lie to you and get you to focus on everything under the sun except the Son. Just above in verse 11 “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Christianity is loving Jesus Christ so much that death does not make you afraid. satan is on the prowl. “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) In these last days before judgement day, who are you working for and backing. If you are an inactive Christian you cast your vote for satan. We must be wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ. satan is building his kingdom as Jesus is building His kingdom. Jesus is already victorious and has given us the power to defeat the devil. Our power comes from an obedient life. The question is; do we love our lives more than we love Jesus Christ? Your actions tell the answer to this question. The time is short so become a wholehearted follower of Jesus Christ and rejoice in the victory.
