Yesterday I did not write as I was preparing to share with some others that get together to pray for revival on Monday nights. What a blessing it is for me to be with these people who are persistent in prayer and who are willing to wait on God to answer those prayers. Last night Brother Edgar shared about his meeting with Brother Yun. Yun had shared more about his time in prison waiting on God to answer a promise he had already given him years before about open doors. Here he was sitting in prison with his legs crippled from the beatings he received. It was such a dark time for him but yet God kept his promise and he walked out of the prison just like Peter with open doors. God was faithful to his promise. Even those who gather on Monday nights to pray I believe have been doing this for the last 8 years. I was humbled as I listened. Yes God has a plan for you and I but I ask you; are you willing to wait on Him for His plan to unfold in your life. You need to know this morning that God answers prayers and always keeps his promises. As Joshua said, every promise has been fulfilled, not one has failed. Do you question God’s timing and his wisdom? Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. Job 42 “Then Job replied to the Lord: 2 I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. 3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge? Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.” This is good news for you and I, as no plan of God can be thwarted (frustrated, prevented, defeated, unsuccessful) so hang on and stand firm. Hold fast to the Lord your God as you have until now. Be very strong and careful to obey all that is written in the word of God without turning to the right or to the left.
