As the remnant of God rises up, satan will also rise up against us. We already know that  “our enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. Be alert and of sober mind. “(1 Peter 5) We have already seen the amazing lives of Christians in the persecuted church and we have seen that no matter what God is with us no matter what satan throws at us. God’s word is always true. So to us He says be encouraged, stand firm and resist the enemy.  Nehemiah said to the workers “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome. Our God will fight for us!”

As we start this process of rebuilding, be encouraged because the battle is the Lord’s.

1 Samuel 17:45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” God does not call his people to a task without empowering them to complete that task. So today hear the words of David to his son Solomon.

1 Chronicles 28:20 “David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.” Amen.
